In 2016, Izelle took ownership of Joya. Izelle has been part of the team for almost five years, and continues to run the business in Cape Town.


Fred was employed as a casual. He quickly learned the craft from his brother and has since been employed full time as a junior craftsman. He too has shown natural talent for jewellery crafting.


Melusi is Sipho’s and Fred’s cousin and was called in to help when we were short staffed. He quickly became a permanent member of the team. A swift and deft worker, he learnt all the styles very quickly and is primarily responsible for our rhino bracelets.


Ngoni joined the team in 2014 and quickly got the nickname Madala (Old man), as his nickname suggests, he’s the uncle of the group and makes sure everyone gets the job done.
